In L1NDA you have the option to set rules regarding unavailability. This is done as follows:

  • Click in the top left on L1NDA and then on Office;
  • In the third block (Control and Security) click on System settings;
  • You will be taken directly to the Unavailability tab (see image).
  1. Minimum number of days ahead. In the example it is set to 0 days for all schedule layers/teams (depending on the structure of your domain). This means an employee can report its unavailability whenever wanted. We recommend choosing a minimum of 14 days. 
  2. Maximum number of days ahead. In the example employees can report their unavailability 365 days in the future. We recommend choosing a minimum of 90 days, so it's easier to manage. 
  3. Maximum number unavailable per day. The example shows unlimited unavailabilities per day. This means that everyone in that team can report unavailability. We recommend to look closely into what works best for you. The example shows that 'Amsterdam: Bediening' has 27 team members. It's wise to chose a maximum unavailability that enables you to still be able to plan enough employees. 

You also have the option to set rules for a specific day. This is done as follows:

  • Click on L1NDA and then on Schedule
  • Go to the week where the relevant day falls in that you want to adjust;
  • You will see an information i behind the date indication, click on this;
  • Then you will see the pop-up screen below (see image below);
  • Here you can adjust the number of employees who are allowed to report unavailability for that day. You do this by clicking on the selection bar.
  • If you select '0', no employee on the linked team can report unavailability that day.
  • If you select Unlimited here, all employees on that team can report unavailability for that day.
  • Click Save to save the settings.
  • You will then find this in the system settings.

PAY ATTENTION
Multiple teams can be linked to a schedule layer, so the rules apply to all employees who are on one of the teams. Example: When an employee is in the teams 'Amsterdam: Bediening' and 'Amsterdam: Bar' the strictest maximum availability weighs heaviest. So if 10 people can pass on their unavailability in 'Amsterdam: Bediening' and 3 people can be unavailable in 'Amsterdam: Bar' and the maximum of 3 unavailabilities is reached , but in the former is still unavailability left, the strictest counts. So this employee can't pass on unavailability anymore.
